A couple of weeks ago I talked about the creepy phenomena of shadow people. Shadow people are apparitions that usually appear in sleep or have some association with sleep paralysis. Today I would like to look at one particular shadow entity — The Hat Man.
The Hat Man is a shadow person that has been reported all over the world. The entity is usually described as a tall shadow man dressed in a long black trench coat and wearing a wide-brimmed hat or a fedora. He is distinctively male and witnesses say that he has no face or a shadowy blurred face. Most shadow entities are usually seen for a moment or two before disappearing, but the Hat Man seems to be different often staying for a prolonged period of time and sometimes he even touches, chokes or assaults his victims. Another aspect of the Hat Man that is eerie and more sinister than other shadow people is that the Hat Man is often associated with hostile environments, aggression and is sometimes an indicator that something evil will happen. Here is what the Strange Accounts website has to say: “This seemingly dark presence is known to cause – or be attracted by – hostile environments and aggressive behavior. Those who see him often witness to domestic disturbances and family breakdown, noting a tangibly negative atmosphere, sense of dread or hopelessness. For this reason, many have labeled the spirit a “demon”. An intelligent haunt, capable of both physical and psychological manipulation, the Hat Man may well be able to “oppress” those it comes in contact with, seeming to lend credence to this theory.” The Hat Man also seems to take pleasure in the terror he causes and witnesses have reported the feeling that the Hat Man is somehow feeding off of their fear. Other witnesses have reported that the Hat Man sometimes has glowing red eyes or black featureless, solid eyes. Others have said that the Hat Man is a fallen angel or an angel of death and that he comes just before death. The strangest part of this story is that the Hat Man
has been witnessed across the globe in many different cultures by people who are unrelated. Could this be
Coincidence or another example of the power of suggestion? It’s possible, it’s also possible that this is an Urban Legend and that people had heard the story at one point or another and are simply dreaming.

Hi I will get straight to the point, 3 nights ago I woke up at 5am. I normally leave my bedroom curtain open as I am 2 floors up. As I woke and I was definitely awake I saw a black very tall Male figure over 6 foot tall wearing a trench coat and a fedora hat, my first impression was it’s a man and what was he standing on as I’m so high up. He had no face but stood there and was seemed just to be starring at me, I didnt move I just looked, he didn’t move either. After about 3 to 4 mins he just disappeared. I couldn’t believe what I’d just seen. I went on line and just described what I’d seen and it came up with The Hat Man, ( shadow people). This has freaked me out, please can you advise me if any what can I do and why did this figure appear watching me. Thank you, oh I’m English but I live in Spain.
Hi Maggie, There are so many theories about the shadow people, hat man, slim or slender man, tall man / tantal, and it has many other names in a different culture. some call them the watchers, mostly they are harmless. they hate light or mirrors and also shy if someone finds them and look at them like a deer frozen from f the car light they do but they vanish when they know they have been discovered. Some shadow people human spirit and come with a warning, some are demonic/falling angels, and very rare you see the black shadow of an angel of death Azrael army. also, u can have a jinn in the same figure the one you saw most likely is the typical hat man. Try to find out if you have broken promises? if you have one f your relative or family members sick or ill and go see them
make sure to keep your place clean and put some of the prayers reading from a holy book in your place and salt around the window in small jars, sage the house and always sleep with small metals besides you an iron rod and brass/zinc rod as David did with his temple. Shapeshifters rarely mimic the no face shadow man prayers will take care of them and it must be an open portal close to your area. Is there any graveyard close to you or a forest? make sure do not play with spirit board or magic cards etc.but nothing to worry just record them next time with infrared cam
Hi Steve, thank you for your reply, sorry only just getting back but it’s me that has been ill, I’ve been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive pulmonary disease. I know what I saw and I still cant sleep in my bedroom. What hurts me is that friends etc dont believe me, they think I’m stupid, I’m not, 100% I’m not. I live in Spain but I’m going to be going back to the UK. I have seen some things in the past, but like everyone else you question yourself. I have seen 2 black figures which I was told are the negatives of a spirit. A spiritualist did say they were there, so I’m not going barmy. Will this Hat man return to me and do I need to worry, this one has definitely freaked me out. Thank you for your time, and any advice would be helpful.

I’m 53 years old and this is the first time I’ve heard of anyone else seeing this image (entity). I’m almost reluctant to leave this comment as I don’t know your intentions; I only hope that you are taking folks recall as sincere. I saw this (him), it when I was 9/10 in the Caribbean in my grnadparents Church. I don’t recall any fear (I was more upset that I could not move); nevertheless, it (him) has left a life long impression on my very Soul. Now that I know others around the World have seen the same, I need to know why it is and what it is. It’s behavior towards me puzzled me and I think I puzzled it, as I was more curious than fearful. No not at all, I am believe you 100% as I have many incidents in my life since I was 5 years old seen shadow man, ghost and human spirits, and demons
in 4 times of my life, that’s why I do this to understand, research, help others to understand and gain other information from those who
witness them. There are many theories about those shadow men it is all depends on their description color size and where about. Most are just watchers
some is a human spirit who just passed away it could relate to you or to people in that area where you are staying, most are harmless, some like to play hide and seek especially younger children spirits. some who are spirits who commit suicides and those almost accompany with a watcher, demon or guide spirit and can cause harm trying t revenge or looking for justice. Some are elementary spirits among them the Jinn fire and dark smoke creatures that created way before the human race. The Jinn can cause hauntings but usually, they are a helper when they stay with people they like as they can be the same faith of the person who in the house they can take your faith and religion learn from you and if they like you they can help you by giving you ideas and inspire you with your writings, dreams and even in some cases can protect you . Usually, the darker the energy and colo the bad is the shadow figure but not always, If it was falling angels ( demons) then you are in big trouble as those entities do not like human and don’t ever try to make deals with them trust me on this. You are more sensitive than other people that’s why you can see them. Try simple prayers, talk to them gently if they are nice to you, do not provoke them, ask them to leave you in your privacy and then if they don’t listen and scare you try the cleansing method. make sure your house is full of sunlight, clean, no clutter put fresh water lemongrass, sage, fruit, white candle, holy books, and reading from the holy books. make sure there are no graveyards close by or in your property. If you couldn’t move when you see them and you know it is not your fear and anxiety then usually they are good jinn if they don’t harm you and if they cause you trouble and scare you they are demons r bad jinn. Remember all falling angels are demons follow the devil The devil was born as a jinn as he was one of them but later become so advanced and was in the company of angels and way ahead in position but he wasn’t an angel at all after his disgrace and fall from heaven he took with him one third of the angels in the universe to this earth those angels all became demons no one will be spared God punishment . while the jinn they were asked to believe in the message of the Abrahamic faith the people of the book . Most angels come as white light, golden or other colors including Azrael the angel of death he comes as white good energy for the faithful and the good soul and he come as a dark black shadow, mean angry for the bad souls and he also has many helpers they can be many of them in one place to take the souls so they might come to take a bad soul and wait in some area not for you but for someone else ,the best thing is to pray to God and make some rosary when you see them because you don’t know for whom they came for . Many demons when they come close to human they can cause paralyze feeling, short of breath SOB, sick stomach, vomiting, headache and feeling weak, stomach and chest pain as they can inflect sickness, mental and physical illness and alter your state of mind. You do not alone trust me to be strong and grateful that God gave you this gift to see and witness them.
