On a fuzzy green screen, you see a T-shirted man pointing a small electronic recorder toward a murky corner.
He swivels his head toward the camera, his eyes glowing like orbs.
“This is where a figure of a small girl has been sighted on numerous occasions,” the man says in a hushed voice. “We’re hoping she’s in the mood to answer some – holy (bleep), something touched me!”
The frame jumps and blurs before focusing on the man’s face and his look of shock.
And it’s largely ghost-hunting theater, according to one of Phoenix’s longtime paranormal investigators.
Ghosts are big business. For entities that may or may not exist, they seem to be everywhere, especially during Halloween because we know that this time where the portals are thin and entities can use it more than other time.
They are in books and on television shows, such as CBS’s “The Ghost Whisperer” and NBC’s “Medium.” Dozens of “ghost hunter” organizations exist across North America, small groups of self-styled ghost buffs who lurk around reputedly haunted places, hoping to glimpse or photograph a spirit. They all looking for good looking faces girls and men who speaks good English and discards our stories because they want to sale and make a movie.
The most famous ghost hunters are two plumbers who moonlight as paranormal investigators, seen in the popular Sci-Fi Channel reality show/soap opera series “Ghost Hunters.” They go to haunted places and find “evidence” of ghosts such as cold spots, photographic anomalies called orbs and other such spookiness.
The two featured investigators, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, are proudly blue-collar workers, not egghead Ph.D. scientists, which adds to their strong “regular guy” appeal.
Where are the ghosts?
While one doesn’t need to be a scientist to search for Ghosts , the pair (like most ghost hunters) could benefit greatly from a little critical thinking. They claim to be skeptics but are very credulous and seem to have no real understanding of scientific methods or real investigation. (Audiences dont seem to wonder why these “expert” ghost hunters always fail: Even after two seasons and over ten years of research, they still have yet to prove that ghosts exist!)
I know this for fact I have been seen ghosts and spirits in Baghdad city in our house and many other places since the age of 5 but when I moved I only see once a year and for demonic I only encounter 3 major incidents in my life time and less than dozen minor incidents ,it is very rare to see spirit and even more rare to encounter with the Jinn and demons. If you want to see Ghost you will because your brain set the senses to feel,hear and see it it could be a visual Illusion , a dream, night mare or may be a shadow man.
Though most ghost investigators’ worst crime is wasting time, sometimes they make nuisances of themselves and even break the law. Yes break the law often as I said before some people killed themselves due to the false impression that there are no other way and the demon is about to get their soul and in my book this is a crime and the police must investigate those so called investigators but they dont do it until some one file a law suite or call to report but no body does.
In October 2005, three ghost hunters in Salem, Massachusetts, were arrested for trespassing on private property in search of ghosts. They had entered an abandoned hospital reputed to be haunted. The group was so busy looking for spirits they failed to notice the police station across the street; all three were arrested, fined, and sent home. Trespassing or vandalizing ghost hunters have also been arrested in cemeteries in Illinois, Connecticut, and other states. The same for those here in Canada and the USA many of those investigators go to the graveyards of people they dont know and violate the privacy law, sacred ground and respect to conduct investigation wit hour permission they make me sick as some of those people bring their dogs in the grave yard like they are going for a picnic, eating and laughing taking pictures and chanting .
Ghost detectors
When it comes to searching for ghosts, you’d think that only the most reliable methods would be used in an attempt to get solid evidence for something as mysterious and elusive as a spirit. Yet in ghost hunting, often the less scientific the methods and equipment, the more likely a researcher is to find “evidence” for ghosts.
Ghost hunters use a variety of creative—and dubious—methods to detect their quarry’s presence, including some fake psychic. Psychics not only claim to locate ghosts but also to communicate with the spirits, who unfortunately don’t provide any useful or verifiable information from the afterlife [see a séance].
Virtually all ghost hunter groups claim to be scientific, and most give that appearance because they use high-tech scientific equipment such as Geiger counters, Electromagnetic Field (EMF) detectors, ion detectors, and infrared cameras [and sensitive microphones]. Yet the equipment is only as scientific as the person using it; you may own the world’s most sophisticated thermometer, but if you are using it as a barometer, your measurements are worthless. But the reason I use them mostly as a placebo effect for those people I investigate so it will give them sense of security before I do my prayers and cleansing, and some times hoping to record some evidence.
As I said earlier “Just as using a calculator doesn’t make you a mathematician, or using a camera does not make you a photography expert, using a scientific instrument doesn’t make you a scientist. And been a paranormal investigator does not make a paranormal expert “.
Few years back, while I was investigating a haunted house in north Alberta, the owner of the house asked me what equipment I planned to use. He had glanced in my bag, which contained infra red cameras, a tape recorder, notebooks, a tape measure, a flashlight,laser thermometer, and a few other items. Is that all? he said, expecting more ! Perhaps he was expecting to see a large Ionizer or Ghost buster vacuum type! An EMF meter is among the most common devices used by ghost hunters today. You can buy it on line or ghost stores.
“At a haunted location,” experts says, “strong, erratic fluctuating EMFs are commonly found. It seems these energy fields have some definite connection to the presence of ghosts. The exact nature of that connection is still a mystery. However, the anomalous fields are easy to find. Whenever you locate one, a ghost might be present…. any erratic EMF fluctuations you may detect may indicate ghostly activity.”there exists no device that can conclusively detect ghosts.”
The uncomfortable reality that ghost hunters carefully avoid is of course that no one has ever shown that any of this equipment actually detects ghosts. Some do as I witness many EVP records from the electronic recorders ,many of these can be faked and prerecorded and it must be used in control environment to prove it.
The supposed links between ghosts and electromagnetic fields, low temperatures, radiation, odd photographic images, and so on are based on nothing more than guesses, unproven theories, and wild conjecture. Many not all orbs are dust particles and other gases . Very rare and few cases of real paranormal activities was recorded on video cam and voice recorders and those few cases are the one that need to be the main focus of those shows .
If a device could reliably determine the presence or absence of ghosts, then by definition, ghosts would be proven to exist. pseudoscience is every where. The problem is that in many times including myself witnessed what we call a personnel experience, which we see an entity, ghost or a demon unexpectedly and without warning and I didn’t have the time to bring the camera and start recording I witness a skin walker demon in Moose factory graveyard in north Ontario back in 1983/84 , A demon in the desert of Indio California back in 1987/88 . Spirit of an old lady who got killed by car accident same day when she was watching an ultrasound exam in my work in Indio California. Now days I make sure that I have my cell phone ready as in those days we dont have cell phones etc.
most important tools in this or any investigation are a questioning mind and a solid understanding of scientific principles.
The ghost hunters’ anti-scientific illogic is clear: if one area of a home is colder than another, that may indicate a ghost; if an EMF meter detects a field, that too may be a ghost; if dowsing rods cross, that might be a ghost. Just about any “anomaly,” anything that anyone considers odd for any reason, from an undetermined sound to a “bad feeling” to a blurry photo, can be (and has been) considered evidence of ghosts. NO ONE QUESTION if there are water pipe line underground that can effect the EMF reading, or electric wiring and high voltage areas, appliances and wiring behind the walls. Some times an old door with twisted nails can opened and shut by itself with very mild wind or walking close to it and I can prove this phenomena and many other so called paranormal sounds and activities in a house can be scientifically proven again that not to say that Ghost and demons ,angels and Inns do not exist ,they do, but they are very rare phenomenon . They are God creation .
I witness many investigation where a ghost supposedly caused a person’s mild headache , nausea or mild vomiting.chest pain, dizziness and many other mild illness and I proved it that a high voltage in one area of the house causing high EMF that indices some of these symptoms, in other house it was the severe infrasound from an old appliance causing the symptoms, and in one house the increases of CO- the dangerous monoxide carbon that induces these illness , That is why I take with me my CO defectors when I go any investigation .
Because the standard of evidence is so low, it’s little wonder that ghost hunters often find “evidence” (but never proof) of ghosts.
There are about 33,000 homicides in America each year. So it might be some of them with unfinished business and stayed behind to resolve and haunt the place to find an answer, or direct a witness , or asking why and live the moment over and over again as they die so fast, and there are many example that I my self witnessed .
Using the most recent numbers, that’s about 11,000 unsolved murders per year, and 110,000 over the course of only ten years, and probably well over million over the course of the twentieth century in America alone.
For that matter, why are ghosts seen wearing clothing? It’s one thing to suggest that a person’s spirit has a soul that can be seen after death; but do shoes, coats, hats, and belts also have souls? Logically, ghosts should appear naked. The fact that they don’t suggests that people’s ideas of what ghosts are—and what they look like—are strongly influenced by social and cultural expectations. But I disagree with this notion from those skeptic as I witnessed spirits from all kind in Baghdad many of them have no clothes just pure light but they do have figures , some do have clothes I saw one spirit in our old Turkish house with his 6 century clothing washing his feet from the water of our water well , I saw children playing with me in our old house after I wake up and saw them near the living room i stayed we played with old mechanical small train toy then when i ran after the train to bring it to them they were gone , I wrote those story here in my blog and they worn children clothes , later we found that there was an old grave in our house where family berried in our house 500 / 600 years old.
I saw an old man on a horse near one of old Baghdad grave that I used to take it as short cut to walk to my work at the hospital and when I was doing night shift I used to use the same graveyard road and I saw this old skinny man n a horse every time i see him he vanish when I turn my face i can hear the walking for the horse and I managed to turn so fast that I took a glimpse of him before he vanished and I knew that he was a ghost . I ran so fast that i never looked behind and I never took that road at night again.
