How to overcome Anger and Hate

When someone hurts you, have you ever wondered why did they hurt you? It is because they are hurting. They have lots of wounds and hurts inside and all they could do is hurt others. Why do criminals commit crimes? Because they are in pain, because they need healing, because they are not normal, they are sick. They have no understanding or clear perception of themselves. But this is not the case as some people are born evil and or become evil at young age and got brainwashed by evil thoughts like in Hitler case, Iranians cult and other terrorists,

When my brother got killed by Iranians and our house burned by them ,my country was destroyed and millions were killed , robbed and raped and the leaders were killed by the Iranians and other thugs I was and still am so angry that I thank God I am not a leader because I will never rest until I kill every Iranian terrorists  in earth

When you see what is going on inside those evil people your hatred will fall off. You will only have compassion. If you see somebody agitated, angry, have you ever felt compassion for them? Feeling that way is not pleasant for them. No one ever likes feeling agitated or angry. If we don’t feel compassion when we see others’ mistakes, we are bound to get angry ourselves.  We always think about revenge as it is the ultimate was to releases our stress and to get immediate gratification.

The cause of anger is the lack of total knowledge of what is happening inside that man or that woman. Showing anger itself is not wrong, but being unaware of your anger only hurts you. Sometimes you can show anger purposefully. There is a difference. You may get angry with your children. You can act tough or maybe shout at them if they put themselves in danger.

There is a place for showing anger, but when you get angry yourself, what is happening to you? You are shaken completely. Are you ever happy with the decisions you have made or the words you have spoken when you are angry? No, because you lose your total awareness. If you are completely aware and you are acting angry, that is fine. The type of anger that turns into fear and hatred comes when we do not know the situation totally when we don’t put ourselves into the other person’s shoes.

I am not saying these emotions are good or bad, right or wrong. We are looking at what the consequences are. In fact, when anger comes, what can you do? You may think a hundred times, “Oh, I shouldn’t get angry,” but when the mood comes, it comes like a thunderstorm. You are unable to control it. All your presumptions, your notions, and your promises simply go in vain. They do not stand, they do not hold. You are swept by your emotions. Emotions are 20-30 times more powerful than the thoughts and promises you make. Understanding this mechanism opens your heart.

In fact, anger is an instrument. Anger is essential when you are able to be in control of it, when you are able to know it, how to use it, where to use it, and how to apply it. That takes skill. The art of handling your own mind Knowledge and anger are mutually dependent. Knowledge and love are mutually dependent. This knowledge gives a possibility for you to be flowering in life at any moment, anywhere, anytime.

Maybe you are walking on the beach; suddenly you are in love with the whole entire universe, sun, moon, stars, the sunset, the waves on the beach, and the wind in the trees. Everything appears to be very lively to you. So alive that you become that moment, and it stirs something deep inside you.

The Quran tell us in these situation we have to wash and pray to God to cool yourself and let him do the revenge for us and let him clear the way and also tell us that to use kind words, take it easy and discuss the situation in friendly calm manor to achieve best result for all (wajadelhom billati hiya ahsan) there are so many verses in the Quran and the Bible about Anger and how to balance yourself to get rid of the evil that feed our anger to make it worse.

Just as the light fades away in the evening, anger also fades away. It is the same with envy. There is a limit to everything when one thought arises another falls away. Where does it go?

The answer is that all is in our mind. That mind is the Self. Clouds may cover the sky, but the purity of the sky remains untouched. Whatever may be the state of the mind, the Self is pure. There is no such thing as a bad self. As anger is a quality of the Divine, it is also a quality of the Self! The mind itself is the Self. The mind is part of the Divine.

This is because there are millions of cells in our brain. Some work today, and others work tomorrow just like workers take shifts in a factory. The factory is running continually, but the workers have shifts they come, work and leave. Similarly, in our brain, we have short and long memories, way to store and keep information and way to express and learn different method to survive in each situation.

Neurons work in shifts. There are millions of neurons in our brain. For them to gain knowledge, all the neurons need to be trained. Why do we have to do worship, prayers, tasbeeh, forgiveness, kindness, Sadaqa, theker, regularly? It is because some neurons are trained today, others will get trained tomorrow and others will be trained the day after tomorrow. Through this process, the aim is going toward purity and perfection but of course perfection is to God only and no one can reach it as it is God character (kamel).

That is why this is emphasized to do worship, prayers, reading the holly book every day. If you skip a day, then those cells that are on duty that day will not be trained. They will have to wait for their next turn, and until then, they sit there untrained. That is why our daily practice is necessary such as Ebadat, Salat, zakat, Sadaqa, and all the corners of the faith.

You may remind yourself a hundred times that you shouldn’t get angry, but when the emotion comes, you are unable to control it. It comes like a thunderstorm. Emotions are much more powerful than your thoughts. What can you do when anger rises in you?

Anger is a distortion of your true nature and it doesn’t allow the self to shine forth fully. The structure of human consciousness or the mind is very similar to that of an atom.

The positively charged protons and neutrons are in the center of the atom while the negatively charged particles are only on the circumference. Similarly, even in human consciousness, mind and life, all the negativities and vices are only in the periphery. Your true nature is peace and love. God is light, love, peace, mercy and blessing, while Evil is dark, hatful, anger, distortion, envy, pride and everything that negative in nature.

Showing anger itself is not wrong, but being unaware of your anger only hurts you. Sometimes you can show anger purposefully. For example, a mother gets angry at her children and can act tough or shout at them if they put themselves in danger.

There are situations that warrant showing anger, but when you get angry, have you observed what happens to you? You are shaken completely. Look at the consequences of getting angry. Are you happy with the decisions you have made or the words you have spoken in a state of anger? No, because you lose your total awareness. But if you are completely aware and are acting angry, that is fine.

All anger is about something which has already happened. Is it of any use getting angry about something which you cannot alter? The mind always vacillates between the past and the future. When the mind is in the past, it’s angry about something that has already happened; but anger is meaningless as we can’t alter the past. And when the mind is in the future, it’s anxious about something that may or may not happen. When the mind is in the present moment, anxiousness and anger appear so meaningless.

Spiritual practices help you maintain your centeredness and not be shaken by small events. This is where a little knowledge about yourself, your mind, your consciousness and the root of distortion in our nature helps. It is when you are exhausted and stressed that you lose your nature and get angry. Every individual is bestowed with all the virtues in the world. They simply get covered-up by lack of understanding and stress. What is needed is just to uncover the virtues that are already there.

The Secret of the Breath

Breathing techniques and meditation are very effective in calming the mind. Learning something about our breath is very important. Our breath has a great lesson to teach us, which we have forgotten. For every rhythm in the mind, there is a corresponding rhythm in the breath and for every rhythm in the breath there is a corresponding emotion. So, when you cannot handle your mind directly, you can handle it through breath.

Salat, Meditation is letting go of anger from the past and the events of the past. Salat an worshiping God is accepting this moment and living every moment totally with depth. Often anger comes because you do not accept the present moment. Anger comes when one seeks too much of perfection. When you are joyful, you don’t look for perfection. If you are always looking for perfection then you are not at the source of joy.

I usually get so angry when I find that justice is broken ,right things is not in order ,my rights were taken and I can’t help it but to get angry ,I try to get even, get revenge, get corrected my way and as human I go beyond legality and justice to obtained it then I will be in the other side of the fence with the point of no return and feel sorry.

The world appears imperfect on the surface but, underneath, all is perfect. Perfection hides; imperfection shows off. The wise will not remain merely on the surface but will probe into the depth.

Things are not blurred; your vision is blurred. Infinite actions prevail in the wholeness of consciousness, and yet the consciousness remains perfect, untouched. Realize this now and be natural.

Secondly, why do you hate the person? Is it for what they are doing? If they are doing horrible things, either they are ignorant or they are stressed. By hating them, can you change them? People make mistakes and you hate them? Why do you hate them, because they make some mistakes? By hating a person who makes mistakes, can you correct them? No, you cannot correct them when you hate them. Do you want them to be corrected? Yes. So what is the way? Not hate them but by educating them. This is necessary.

Some managers and bosses cannot be educated or refused to be educated they feel proud so they bring down all the company with them and I call that stupidity.

People like Indian government and many Hindu terrorists who hates Muslims and do not give citizenship to any Hindu who convert to Islam but they do so to other cults and religion, this can bring bigger hate, anger and injustice toward the visible minority in India and Myanmar as they show that their faith of Hinduism and Buddhism is actually hypocrites  and there are no kindness ,forgiveness and love in this cult as they breech lies and they act different , because they are evil cult who hate everyone different than them .

They hate everybody and people hate them, and hate their culture. By hating we cannot change them and they cannot change us. They also do not know this. Their idea is to control everybody like Hitler, Napoleon, Indian president, and Russian and Chinese communist parties. Iran leaders and many other terrorists’ .We hate them because they are doing such heinous crimes. But by hating will they change? No. Not hate them but educating them if you can daily, show them that they are wrong and that they can do better, show them that God the true God is not like this. Praying to a cow or stone of fat Buddha is not the way this is not religion of kindness is a cult of haltered.

The young children need to be educated before they get into this kind of mindset. That’s why; harmony in diversity should be part of the education. We need to educate the mind because all crime begins here in the upper chamber. To educate somebody you need to have compassion.

See, in your life, you come across many people who think differently, and you want them to change, and by you wanting them to change they do not change. When you say what you are doing is hurting me, so please do not hurt me, they do not change so easily. But when you tell them what you do hurts you, so you should change, that will be much more effective.

So love can transform the world, compassion can change the world and with both along with true kindness and forgiveness the world can start the healing process.

This world cannot be so perfect, so broaden your vision. You cannot make everyone the way you want them to be. Unpleasant things are bound to happen. When it happens, you should have the strength and courage to move on.

With worship, prayers (Salat) to the true God of Abraham and not to the cow, stones, idols, or any other human or deity is the only way and will definitely provide you that needed strength to overcome anger.

Once in a while if anger comes up, don’t start blaming yourself. One thing that can be very detrimental on the spiritual path is self blame. Keep moving ahead, read the holy book and ask God to help you and try to educate yourself to have the tool to fight back in control, smart, legal, and wise way.
