THE  ARCHANGELS AND THE ANGEL Aazrial

While the exact amount of archangels is debated among different faiths, seven archangels supervise angels who specialize in different types of work helping humanity, and four of those are considered by many believers to be the most important archangels. They are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel. “Synaxis of the Archangel Michael

Some put Israeli the angel of the trumpet of judgment.

Azrael (/ˈæzriəl/; Biblical Hebrew: עזראל‎) is an angel in the Abrahamic religions. In Jewish and Muslim faith they both use the same name, the Angel f death, the grim reaper; He is often identified with the Angel of Destruction and Renewal of the Hebrew Bible.

The Hebrew name translates to “Angel of God”, “Help from God”, or “One Whom God helps”. Azrael is the spelling of the Chambers Dictionary. In Aramaic, Arabic the name Aazra EL. Aazra mean= support eh well of, EL = God.

Azrael is one of the great angels created by God. He releases people’s souls and returns them to Allah when their life is up. Death is inevitable and we all die one day, no matter where we live, what complexion or social status we have.

Sometimes it might seem that death takes a person by surprise. Some people might have thought that they would live a long happy life and plan their future and their prospects before the moment they die. However, when we see Azrael in front of us, we realize that death is inevitable.

Most of the people, especially those who are not aware of religious aspects, think that Azrael is a scary and horrible creature. You can easily find pictures where death is depicted as the Grim Reaper Yet, we should not forget that death was created by God and it obediently follows orders of our Creator. Therefore, it is not reasonable to think of an injustice with regard to death. Everyone lives as long as it has been destined to him by the Creator.

There is a hadith narrated by Abdullah ibn Umar in the Tafsir Al-Mazhari: “When God ordered Azrael, to mortify people, he implored: “O, my Lord! You imposed such a duty on me that all the sons of Adam living in the world will curse me every time they remember me and they will believe that I am the evil.”

God said to him: “We have taken care of this. There are diseases and other misfortunes which people will take as causes of their death. So they will neither complain about you nor curse you.” (Refer to Al-Qurtubi set of hadith and his composition “At-Tazkirah”).

The Qur’an refers to ” (Malak Al-Mawt), which corresponds with Hebrew term Malach ha-Mawet in Rabbinic Literature. Islamic-Arabic tradition adopts the name, in the Arabic language as ʿAzrāʾīl (Arabic: عزرائيل‎). He is responsible for transporting the souls of the deceased Peron after death in exact time that God allows that person to live. He never disobeys God.

He can come in person or send one or many of his death angels to do the job in a deferment part of the world. He also can be in multiple time at once the time is bend for him he can appear in multiple places to take the souls same time. People often ask how the angel of death manages to be at different places in the world at the same time. They cannot understand how people can die simultaneously at different places.

This question arises because we tend to perceive the world through the objects that are tangible. This is very subjective and far from reality. The world is much more multi-faceted than we think. We are not aware of other universes created by our Great God. There are many of them. We have quite limited knowledge about the world of angels and jinn are who live in a world parallel to us. Their existence does not depend on whether we believe in the fact they exist or not.

Depending on the outlook and precepts of various religions in which he is a figure, Azrael may be portrayed as residing in the  Third Heaven. In one description, he has four faces for each direction, and four thousand wings and his whole body consists of feathers with eyes. Whose number corresponds to the number of people inhabiting the earth?

He is recording and erasing constantly in a large book the names of men at birth and death, respectively. When he comes to a place most of the other angels and all demons, jinn’s leave that place. We do know the velocity of light and that there are creatures of the Merciful Creator who are able to cover vast distances of thousands of kilometers in the blink of an eye. Yet, we do not know how fast the angels can move. Their speed can be incredibly higher than we could imagine. They possibly use special portals that God allow them to bend time and space in them.

He is commonly referred to as “Azriel”, not “Azrael”. The Zohar a holy book of the Jewish mystical tradition of Kabbalah presents a positive depiction of Azriel. The Zohar says that Azriel receives the prayers of faithful people when they reach heaven, and also commands legions of heavenly angels. Accordingly, Azriel is associated with the South and is considered to be a high-ranking commander of God’s angels (Zohar 2:202b).

Several Muslim traditions recount meetings between the Angel of Death and the prophets, the most famous being a conversation between the Angel of Death and Moses. In an Islamic narration, the prophet Idris or so-called Enoch befriended the angel Azrael. Idris offered him food, whereupon Azrael revealed to Idris his non-human essence because as an angel, he does not eat. Later the archangel showed him the heaven

Moreover, angels are beyond notions such as time and space. They can be in different places at the same time and this is beyond the limits of the human mindset. If you put a number of mirrors in a room, a person who enters the room will be reflected in all the mirrors. Yet, it is still one and the same person rather than a number of people reflected in all the mirrors.

In his work “At-Tazkira”, Al-Qurtubi narrates that one day the Prophet, Mohammed saw the angel of death standing by one of his best friend’s deathbed. The Prophet said to the angel of death: “Relieve it for my friend”. The angel of death said in reply: “Be sure that I relieve it to every faithful and believer in God.” He continued: “Think of all the people living in cities and villages, forests, mountains and by the rivers. I see all of them five times a day. This is why I know all of them, no matter how young or old they are.”

Some scholars believe that the Azrail has some assistants who help him to take people’s souls.

Referring to one of the most prominent commentators of Quran Mujahid, Al-Qurtubi describes the process of soul distraction from the body this way: “The world is like an open chest for the angel of death. People are scattered like seeds in this chest. He takes any seeds he likes.”

In Christian tradition, the Archangel Michael supervises all of the angels who work with dying people. Michael appears to each person just prior to the moment of death to give the person the last chance to consider the spiritual state of his or her soul. Those who aren’t yet saved but change their minds at the last moment can be redeemed. By telling Michael with faith that they say “yes” to God’s offer of salvation, they can go to heaven rather than hell when they die.

Accounts of angels comforting dying people abound from those who have watched loved ones die. When their loved ones are about to pass away, some people report seeing angels, hearing heavenly music, or even smelling strong and peasant scents while sensing angels around them. Those who care for the dying, such as Doctors, Nuns, nurses, say that some of their patients report deathbed encounters with angels.

Caregivers, family members, and friends also report witnessing dying loved ones talking about or reaching out to angels. For instance, in his book “Angels God secret agents,” Christian evangelist Billy Graham writes that immediately before his maternal grandmother died, “The room seemed to fill with a heavenly. This is also recorded for many other Imams and priests the most famous one was Rabbea al Adwaeya in Basra-Iraq that was witnessed by many of her followers.'”

” Azrael is the one who meets you when you are on your deathbed and he is the one who transforms your lively form into a body without a soul. Angel Azrael also assists people who have lost their loved ones over the grief and pain that they are suffering.

Purpose of Archangel Azrael in detail

Spiritual counseling is the job of Archangel Azrael; he makes sure that during the time of grief, a person does not completely lose his/her mind and do something that he should not be doing. For example, if you lose a loved one, you would be with immense grief and sorrow. During that time, you would not be thinking right and might end up doing something that could cause harm to another individual. In times like this, Azrael assists and calms down the minds of people who are facing such a crisis.

He has the powers of universal healing that people mostly need when they suffer a loss. Azrael’s main purpose is to help individuals transform the human life to the spiritual life. His core responsibility is to ensure that the process is as less painful as possible and less effort is required for a person to transform from the human to the spiritual world.

People, after they die, return to the spiritual life. It is the Archangel Azrael’s duty to help them adjust to this new world of eternity, as well. Death is an experience that is considered very sacred to the celestial bodies and is treated with a great amount of honor and respect. The lessons we learn from the death of a loved one, are lessons of a lifetime.

There are 7 Archangels mentioned in the Bible (Tobit 12:15, Rev. 8:2), in the K JVersion, the Catholic (Roman and Eastern Orthodox) Bible mentioned 3 Archangels:

  • Saint Michael the Archangel whose name means Who was created to balance follow God order to carry judgments, battles.
  • Saint Gabriel the Archangel whose name means Power of God, he is the angel of communication.
  • Saint Raphael the Archangel whose name means God has healed the angles of healing the sick and the ill in God permission.

The Holy Archangels Feast day is celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church on September 29th, an in the Eastern Orthodox Churches on November 8th

Michael is the angel who leads all of the holy angels. often works on missions that involve fighting evil, proclaiming God’s truth, and strengthening people’s faith.

Gabriel, who communicates God’s most important announcements to humans, specializes in helping people understand God’s messages and apply them to their lives well.

Raphael, who serves as God’s main healing angel, cares for the health of people, animals, and every other part of God’s creation.

Uriel, who focuses on wisdom, often works on missions of helping people learn more about God, themselves, and others work with the Holy Spirit and other.

Because of their lack of bodies, angels do not occupy space like we do and move within our world without taking up space. The closest analogy to how angels move is like ‘electrons’ or in ‘quantum leaps.’ Angels ‘move instantaneously from one place to another without passing through any space or time in between.

On the other hand, even though they do not have material bodies, they can impact and influence the material world. They are pure spirits (like God) and have such intelligence and mental power that they can move material things or assume the appearance of a body. How exactly that all transpires is a bit of a mystery. Saint Thomas Aquinas goes in more depth in the Summa.

Wings and swords are simply artistic representations of their roles and actions in our world, as messengers and protectors.

4) Archangels can protect us from evil

If Saint Michael and the heavenly host can expel Satan and his minions out of heaven, the archangels can certainly fight against demons tormenting our world and us and protect us from their influence. One of the greatest prayers is the Saint Michael prayer, which for many years was routinely said at the closing of Mass:

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL
